URGENT: because the Israeli Parliament has hindered UNWRA’s operations, fundraisers like the ones listed above may be the only way for many people to survive.
I’ve called Israel’s attacks on Gaza genocide and demanded we stop sending Netanyahu weapons since October 2023.
Letters
I emailed President Biden on 10/14/2023 using this contact form.
My letter:
“Dear President Biden,
I am horrified that you, your administration, and Congress are enabling Israel’s ongoing genocide in Palestine and Lebanon. For a year, I’ve signed countless petitions demanding a ceasefire and that the US stop sending Israel’s military weapons and funding. After I voted for Obama and you in 2008 and 2012, then-President Obama signed many executive orders. I know you could stop the military aid to Netanyahu instantly via executive order. Why have you enabled genocide? These attacks violate the Geneva Conventions.”

On October 21, 2024, I wrote the following letter to Kamala Harris:
“Dear Vice President Harris,
I’m still furious. The US is sending billions of dollars’ worth of weapons for Israel to commit genocide in Palestine and Lebanon. Putting conditions on military aid is not enough. It’s hypocritical for us to withhold weapons of genocide unless Israel improves humanitarian conditions. We need to stop giving to Gaza with one hand and taking with the other. Stop sending weapons to Israel — period. Send humanitarian aid to Gaza and Lebanon instead. Your administration is enabling war crimes and Geneva Convention violations.
I’ve already voted for you for President. I hope your administration will be better than Bush’s, Obama’s, or Trump’s on foreign policy, but I’m starting to doubt it. The American war machine does what it wants with impunity, and so do its allies.”
I sent the same letter (minus the last paragraph and the salutation) to President Biden.
I sent this on October 24, 2024:
“Dear Vice President Harris,
The US’ hypocrisy is evident in the differences between its public policies towards Russia and Israel. We know it’s evil for Russia to invade Ukraine, bomb hospitals, and murder civilians. Yet with Israel, your administration takes the opposite position and enables them to displace Palestinians, invade their land, and bomb civilians of all ages in Palestine and Lebanon. I understand geopolitical and historical nuances, but they should never be used to justify human rights abuses. Stop arming Israel now and send more humanitarian aid to Palestine, Sudan, and Lebanon urgently. Please act now.
Also, please do not attempt to be strategic or political when it comes to human rights abuses. You may try to delay acting on Palestine to avoid losing pro-Israel voters, but in doing so, you will lose voters who oppose Netanyahu’s war crimes. Human rights are too urgent to be strategized anyway.”
I sent the same letter (minus the last paragraph and the salutation) to President Biden. I sent versions of the letters in my post to Biden, Harris, and Antony Blinken (secretary@state.gov).
